IMPORTANT: To access the application settings and credits, press and hold the gear wheel and information icon (button) for a few seconds respectively.The PeluqueríaTEA application consists of a free, non-profit application, without advertising and without purchases, whose intention is to support the task of anticipating attendance at the hairdresser for people with autism spectrum disorder (ASD).PeluqueríaTEA can be used with people with different degrees of ASD, but always under the supervision of specialists, fathers, mothers or guardians and in the exercise of exclusively personal or domestic activities.This application has been developed by the AYRNA research group (https://www.uco.es/ayrna/) and collaborators, and funded within the project called “Support for the tasks of anticipating hairdressing appointments for children and girls with autism spectrum disorders through an application for mobile devices”, corresponding to the VI edition of the Galileo Plan for Innovation and Transfer of the University of Córdoba, modality IV, UCO-SOCIAL-INNOVA projects.PeluqueríaTEA has also had the collaboration of the Córdoba Autism Association (https://www.autismocordoba.org/), located in Córdoba, Spain, and its team of professionals. You can consult the website associated with the project at https://www.uco.es/ayrna/teaprojects/ This project has had the following duration: December 1, 2020 until December 31, 2021, so a priori no subsequent maintenance will occur. Please note that it is a non-profit project, in which the work team has not obtained any financial benefit and is not professionally dedicated to the development and maintenance of applications for mobile devices. The authors of the PeluqueríaTEA application have developed this application with the aim of supporting people with ASD in their integration into society, hoping that it will be useful.The application presents the following functionalities distributed in several modules:- Module 1, tips: consists of a list of tips for parents, specialists and legal guardians that they can explore with children to promote the anticipation and participation of people with ASD in the hair salon. - Module 2, lets go to the hairdresser: sequence of steps in which a boy or girls attendance at the hairdresser is recreated, according to the option chosen in the configuration module. At the end of the sequence, the day and time of attendance previously entered from the configuration module is remembered.- Module 3, I choose my hairstyle: presents the possibility of customizing a boy or girls hair cut and color, in addition to being able to save and see again up to the last three designs that have been made.- Module 4, game: contains a game where the person with ASD will have to associate sounds produced by some hairdressing tools, in such a way that the anticipation of the sound stimuli and the objects that produce them will be worked on. This module presents reinforcement for incorrect sound-utensil associations.- Module 5, configuration: module that should only be accessed by parents, family members or specialists who work with the person with ASD, although this depends on their grade. To access it, you must press and hold the gear icon that represents it for a few seconds. Configurations will be shown, such as the sex of the person with ASD or the management and history of appointments at the hair salon with comments associated with each visit.- Module 6, credits: shows information about the people who have participated in the creation of the application, as well as the financing associated with the project. To access this module it is also necessary to press and hold the information icon that represents it for a few seconds.
